Could you try deleting couchdb files as mentioned at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+bug/530195/comments/8 and see if that removes your accounts? You could then add back the Twitter account.
Could you also check if python-indicate is installed, as mentioned at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+bug/530195/comments/13 and if not, install it? If you still have the problem of not seeing any Twitter messages, after closing all Gwibber windows, could you run this in a terminal: killall gwibber-service gwibber-service -d -o Try opening the Gwibber window again, and if there are any errors in the debug output (in the terminal) please copy them and paste them here?
