Seems that libusb-0.1 is unsupported for a very long time now. Here is the answer from libusb developers:
It seems that you are using libusb-0.1 which is not maintained since a long time and is not really supported. Please uninstall libusb-0.1 and instead install libusb-1.0 (version 1.0.8 released yesterday) and also install libusb-compat-0.1 (version 1.0.3) which provides backwards compatibility for programs that were linked against libusb-0.1. --- So if it is not supported anymore why does Ubuntu use it? -- pcscd assert failure: *** glibc detected *** /usr/sbin/pcscd: free(): invalid pointer: 0x097c6e88 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551940 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
