Binary package hint: xorg
I upgraded from Karmic Koala to Lucid Lynx two days ago. Since I
upgraded, my mouse pointer often freezes and the only way to reset this
condition is to re-boot. The mouse is a PS/2 mouse. The screen and
keyboard continue to work OK. I can switch windows, display all desktops
etc. using the keyboard shortcuts, but the mouse pointer remains fixed
in its position. I have to use CTL-ALT-DEL to reboot.
I have been using Karmic Koala on this same machine since last November
without any mouse problems. There has been no change to the hardware.
