Looks like it's been solved one way or another. AccelMethod "XAA" no longer seems to do anything. Whether it's there or not, this is in the Xorg.log:
(II) RADEON(0): EXA: Driver will not allow EXA pixmaps in VRAM (...) (II) RADEON(0): Setting EXA maxPitchBytes (II) EXA(0): Driver allocated offscreen pixmaps (II) EXA(0): Driver registered support for the following operations: (II) Solid (II) Copy (II) Composite (RENDER acceleration) (II) UploadToScreen (II) DownloadFromScreen But there are no odd allocation errors, and it seems to work as well as it did when I was using XAA. So it seems solved. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- [RV250] 32MB r200 DRI Slow - Fails to allocate texture https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394402 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
