petter wahlman (comment #44), I suspect your bug is different; with ddd, there's a very specific and reproducible way to make this happen. That issue is covered by bug 574157. My quick reading of the rest of this bug is that it's something that happens randomly to people whilst not doing anything specific and/or repeatable.
