Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunar
In Xubuntu 10.04 I cannot see my external harddisks nor usb stick attached to the computer in Thunar. If I run Thunar with sudo I see them, but not as user. This worked fine before upgrading. I have the same behavior on 3 machines. dmesg reports the devices so it seems to be a thunar or some thunar library bug. If I log out and in again I see the usb devices... Please advice what debug info you want me to supply ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: thunar 1.0.1-3ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-21.32-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri May 7 10:11:04 2010 InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: thunar ** Affects: thunar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- Thunar doesn't show the usb HDDs and sticks unless running thunar as sudo https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576874 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
