This bug seems to be fixed for me. I am *not* seeing this problem in Lucid, using whatever fglrx drivers are installed via the "Hardware Drivers" thingy. As before, this is on an Asus F6V with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400.
It may be something that happens after something triggers this bug.
