Hi, I think I've solved this issue, at least for me. It's rather silly,
and don't fully understand how it works, but actually it does, which is
all that matters.

I remembered I recently started switching the hard drive off at night,
so as to try speeding up booting the following morning, i.e. without the
system having to detect external devices in the process, and then to
switch it on after login. I wondered if that might be the reason of this
issue, and tried not to switch it off anymore. Well, the issue has gone
for over a month, and that's remarkable, considering the drive used to
unmount on a daily basis.

I don't know if it is going to help anybody, for in my case it seems it
was hardware-related, but anyway I wanted to share.
