This bug I also have. AMD 64 Kubuntu 9.10. Another odd behavior I've seen is when it loads the window opens, becomes invisible except for a fairly transparent frame that gets "stuck to" an existing open window of another application. This may be a plasma thing I don't know. I have to manually kill twinkle and reload it to hopefully get it back to normal.
