Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-networkmanagement

If you choose wired ethernet connection in the right pane, the left side
shows the status of the network connection. If you have the network
connection on "setting network address" and you click on the wired
ethernet connection again - the plasmoid crashes and it takes the whole
Plasma workspace with it.

Mind you, the "setting network address", usually happens very fast - I
was able to hit this bug reapeatedly, because I have a linksys router
that is slower than usual (but not too slow)
