Updating to Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) works for me. But: JohnP has upgrated to Ubuntu 6.10 but the issues still there. He works on a desktop system with SiS chipset.
I suggest to consolidate the requests refered to that kind of keyboard problems and give them more drive? This bug report does not reflect my problem 100% but the status is "confirmed" (Importance: medium). @Brian: I think that dealing with logfiles does not help us in that case because no errors will be throwed by any process. Have you got any idea how to trace the system (top, ps, lsof ...) ...
