the error referred to you doesnt happen anymore after i manually edit sources.list myself, since fiesty hadn't removed some of the edgy debs from the list. the only major annoyance i recieve thus far is certain system notification text does not properly show up now. Like keyring manager, it popups at startup but i does not display any text of anything, just a white text area where i put my password in to connect to the net. it also does it in some cases on update manager, and others, whenever a popup notification comes up. it's confusing to me, since i am a linux n00b, and im working on my understanding of all things within the system.
