Mattias the wireless router attached to my cable modem provides a NAT'd DHCP 192.16.x.x network
*clc* (192.168.x.x 255.255.255.*0*) ------- |----------[*wireless bridge*]-----------[ (wifi=192.168.1.1)* wireless router *(eth=70.x.x.x) ]-------[eth=70.x.x.x *cable modem*]------- internet * nc* (192.168.x.x 255.255.255.*0*)-------- *NAT & DHCP * | |__* vm* (192.168.1.200 255.255.255.*255*) But that is the same IP network range I specified. Only after installation the VM's got their 192.168.x.x address *but* with a 255.255.255.255 mask (wrong) instead of 255.255.255.0 (right) I'll try to get the info for you. FYI, I looked on the Ubuntu Virtualization forum and saw about 5-6 other folks that described almost the identical problem. There should be a NEW forum section specific to UEC added, by the way! *I have a suspicion* that my problem is related to the "mode" (re System, Static, Managed, Managed-Vlan)...setup... because of the description of "Managed Mode" where the VMs it creates are put into a "non-routable" subnet ---- sounds like what happened to me and the others ... at least from their descriptions.
