1. Insert any removable media - a USB key or SD card. 2. Mount it (Thunar or gigolo or "sudo mount...") 3. Have Thunar up at the desktop. 4. Attempt to eject - Thunar right click, "umount /media/X", uncheck the box in gigolo. 5. It complains that something is locking it/is busy. 6. "fuser /media/X" indicates Thunar itself is the only program accessing it.
