installing the workaround removes a ton of required features: like being able to rate tracks, change shuffle and repeat settings, one click banshee maximise, scroll through tracks and being able to see the track details.
Yes the applet has a future, but only in 6 months in the next release. For the next 6 months I would prefer to not look at an ugly icon or have half of the features I use, every single time I run banshee, removed. I would not recommend having the applet as default if you need those features. Where does the bug currently sit?
