If you have the time and patience to do it, it would be helpful if you
would use the official upstream openoffice.org packages and report bugs
directly to their bug tracker for file compatibility issues. That would
take the middle man out of the equation and insure the bugs get fixed as
quickly as possible. :-) I'm pretty sure that there are very many
compatibility issues still and they probably wouldn't mind simple test
case files for the various issues if they aren't already filed in their
bugtracker. If you happen to have a windows machine just using the
official OOo on that machine, so you don't lose the integration patches
on Ubuntu, would also be suitable to file bug reports on the upstream
bugtracker. They don't want bugs filed on their bugtracker using our
Ubuntu packages though since we make changes and can sometimes cause the
problems with our own packaging.
