I cannot understand where 'update-initramfs' find traces of previous kernels: 2.6.28-18-generic 2.6.28-17-generic 2.6.28-15-generic that Ubuntu 9.04 tried to install and failed. No deb packages with that release are present, nothing in /boot, /boot/grub/menu.lst, /usr/src or /lib/modules
