Dear Hunk Cui, Yes my computer has a 16:9 ratio (lspci already provided) which is why I was seeking a 1024x600 resolution.
I will provide the info I have, please let me know if I am missing anything. I tested the three scenarios in the following order 1. no xorg.conf - default for 10.04 2. Hunk Cui's xorg.conf 3. "my" xorg.conf (provided earlier) I will provide screenshots showing Monitor config & xorg.0.log I will also attach my syslog (which spans the three cases).
