Ubuntu 10.04, VLC 1.0.6 from the repos, same or related problem. FLAC playback stops in the middle of a certain track, same thing every time, two minutes into the song. Playback quality with VLC has generally degraded since 9.10 with stuttering occuring now and then which never used to happen before.
