Hey, a breakthrough, I got it up and working, and I'm attaching a debdiff! I hope that someone more into udev code will pick this up and 1) check that it is not likely break something else 2) try to push it upstream (what mailinglist would that be?) 3) get it into Maverick (and optionally Lucid SRU, if it qualifies for that)
