I am still unable to confirm this bug in my own testing. Can you try making it into a step-by-step way to make the crash, starting with a fresh document, in a format like: 1. Write in dummy text 2. Apply Wipe down slide transition.... 3.. etc... It should be reproducable for you with the same steps everytime, otherwise we are missing something. Feel free to make it long, but with specific step by step instructions, I will try to shorten it up to make the bug easier to debug.
Also, try "mv .openoffice.org/ .openoffice.org-old/" to clear your old settings.. Maybe that will help. Please also try with a liveusb/livecd (which in your case will also try without the nvidia driver), to see if it may be a video driver issue.
