Massimo, I was just passing through and I saw your bug report. I was thinking about a couple of things that might prove useful in solving the problem. I think the developers might be particularly interested in the color depth that you have the card running under. I know from the limited experience I've had with beryl or desktop-effects, any setting smaller then 24 bit would not work properly. In a follow up you might want to include your xorg.conf to help identify the problem. Good Luck..
