Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
In Ubuntu 10.04 my wireless connection is dropping randomly. It happens more often when transferring files (either over LAN or the internet) but also happens when just surfing web pages or when idle at the desktop. I have tried kernels 2.6.32, .33 and .34 in Lucid but this issue happens with the same frequency. I tried Fedora Core 13 and the same problem happened but after an upgrade to NetworkManager this issue was resolved and there were no more dropped connections. A working working version is NetworkManager-0.8.1-0.1.git20100510.fc13.i686.rpm Hardware: Acer Aspire One ZG5 Netbook Ubuntu version: 10.04 32 bit network-manager version: 0.8-0ubuntu3 wireless card: 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc.
