Public bug reported: The latest maverick update makes apt-get segfault at the end of an install/purge operation. The operation seems to work fine though, so package manipulation is not broken.
I tried debugging using gdb. I received this output instead of the normal "Segmentation fault" when running it directly: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff6eea17f in __fprintf_chk () from /lib/libc.so.6 I couldn't "list" as there were no symbols in the binary. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Maverick] apt-get 0.7.25.3ubuntu8 segfaults on purge/install actions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588667 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
