'couple of things: I catched an oops when reenabling the WiFi con fn-F2. Will attach the oops to this entry.
As an additional hint, if you do "sudo rmmod ath9k ; sudo modprobe ath9k" normally (almost everytime) the wifi connection starts again. I did not test ethernet (cable) connection.
