I have this same problem, and variations on this problem running Hardy and Jaunty and Lucid on Thinkpad laptops using the Intel 4965AGN wireless card and BOTH wicd and network-manager. (I prefer wicd for other reasons.) Symptoms: ** data stops moving ** no indication that the connection dropped based on wicd notifier or network-manager notifier ** 'wavemon' reports good signal strength even though no data traffic happens ** hardware works find to same access point, security, passphrase, etc when using the winXP dual-boot ** under Lucid, one system will never authenticate claiming "bad password" even though the debug-mode reports the correct string in use I don't know enough to report more information about versions of whatever is in use. I'll gladly try whatever makes sense if someone is willing to point me toward the steps needed. -- Wireless LAN disconnects frequently # Chipset Intel 4965agn (wicd) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/498879 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
