  Binary package hint: usbip

  usbip 0.1.7-3 on Ubuntu 10.04

After using a USB mouse over usbip in a virtual machine (U10.04, KVM),
the command to return the device control to the local driver hangs
indefinitely. The device is becomes unusable. Control cannot be regained
  by plugging in and out.

The same thing happens with the keyboard and webcam I've tested.

  Steps to reproduce:

  On host as root:
  modprobe usbip
  modprobe vhci-hcd
  usbipd -d
  In a new terminal:
  usbip_bind_driver -u 4-1

  On virtual machine as root:
  modprobe usbip
  modprobe vhci-hcd
  usbip -a 10.0.2.2 4-1
  usbip -d 0

  On host:
  usbip_bind_driver -o 4-1
  (hangs)

+ The command "usbip_bind_driver -o 4-1" prints the following message:
+ ** (process:9502): DEBUG: write "del 4-1" to
/sys/bus/usb/drivers/usbip/match_busid
+
  Workaround: restart the host machine
