Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

I started to rip my CD's because i feel more comfortable with them directly on
my computer and i can transfer them to my mp3-player. Now I have no problem
with ripping them as ogg vorbis. but unfortunately my mp3-player does not
understand ogg. So i need mp3. But mp3-ripping doesn't work. It just doesn't
start, doesn't even try to read the CD.
I have looked and found that i would need kubuntu-multimedia-restricted (or
similar, don't quite remember - in any case, the one that includes lame
support). it didn't work to install it in the control center but i could
persuade the command line aptitude to do the job. any way, no changes.
so i started using ripoff to do the job - i feel a little alienated in my
multifunctionality-comfort ... whatever, would be nice to have the amarok
feature working
