I like using SMplayer for all of my media playing, however I've had to
resort to installing Totem as well, as the Ubuntu version of Mplayer
that is used, isn't compiled with DVD structure, menus and navigation
support, nor does it utilise any external libdvd* libraries when they
are installed. Totem, and gstreamer, however, use the libdvd* packages
and can play DVDs. As a result, without compiling Mplayer myself, I
can't watch DVDs on Mplayer.
