I had exactly the same experience as Kyle Gordon-- unspecified error, followed by the upgrade tool being verrrrrry slow. But, after a reboot the system worked perfectly, so whatever the dpkg error, it must not have been severe.
Once rebooting into Feisty I did a manual apt-get clean and deleted over a 100 packages; not sure if this was supposed to have been done by the upgrade tool. One thing that bothered me is that the estimated time left during package downloads jumped around wildly, 50 minutes, 2 hours, 1 hour 30... would probably be better to keep a running average of download speed and base the estimate off of that. -- SRU: updates necessary for Kubuntu Upgrade Tool in Edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/84717 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
