Public bug reported: Binary package hint: autofs5
During an upgrade from latest Karmic (21/6/10) to Lucid, the autofs upgrade asked me whether to use the package maintainer's version of auto.master or keep the existing one. At that stage the keyboard and mouse were both inactive, so the only thing I could do was press the power button, so the upgrade failed.
