The last report I could find about NVIDIA TV-out with the open source Nouveau driver was http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=NzgzNA I did find a later report about benchmarking Fedora which briefly mentioned that Nouveau TV-out is still being worked on.
