Hi, Since I switched to Feisty i've had this problem too.
I have IDE Drives & dvd, and an integrated S-ATA controlller that I do not yet use and cannot deactivate in BIOS. I have not yet tried any of the boot options specified, I will inform you when i test reboot with new kernel. A Question. How can I identify the S-ATA controller chip? other than dmesg with this line: 00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801EB (ICH5) SATA Controller (rev 02) Thanks, David -- Crash from ide_pci from generic.ko for jmicron controllers https://launchpad.net/bugs/84964 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
