Hi Igor I tried this yesterday, albeit briefly, and can (so far) confirm that this appears to have helped...I managed to update Ubuntu using the update manager without interruption, which previously would have forced the wireless to disconnect prematurely.
I'll keep monitoring it and update as necessary.
