Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I only use wireless on an infrequent basis. I last used it about 1 month ago.
It worked then, but not any more. WirelessEnabled=false is in
/var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state and despite changing the file as
root to WirelessEnabled=true, upon the next boot, it has reverted back to
WirelessEnabled=false. I think I have tried removing NetworkManager.state. I
have edited the file as root,; also stopped and restarted network manager, but
none have made any difference once the computer is rebooted.
This occurs on kernel 2.6.32-22-generic and development kernel
2.6.35-999-generic. Have not plugged in to ethernet port since removing
NetworkManager.state, but ethernet was previously set at 'true' and as you can
see, the 3g modem is set as true, but the Wireless is set as false. The
wireless will not remain on 'true' if edited as root, once the computer is
rebooted.

[main]
WWANEnabled=true
WirelessEnabled=false

This is a regression as wireless previously worked faultlessly until 1
month ago. I am not sure which updates caused the bug to appear, but it
is rather annoying not having wireless access when I need it.
