My reason for reopening this, is because there are new users coming from other OS's such as Windows and when they download the drivers for their printer, and try installing, it will fail on them. It creates a broken package and they have to go online and search for a fix, which if they don't know what they're doing they may not be able to find a solution. So if the transitional package gets included in the repos, it will fix this bug and they will not have any issues.
