I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell vostro 3500 and I found that my eth0 stops working randomly after reboot. ifconfig lists it. But neither NetworkManager nor wicd can get the card to work (in DHCP). It some times work fine. But other times it is as if the card doesnt exist at all.
$ dmesg | grep eth ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready This has been such a deeply frustrating problem for me, affecting my productivity so much.. please help. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => New -- Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5755M ethernet card stops working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/159808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
