I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell vostro 3500 and I found that my eth0
stops working randomly after reboot. ifconfig lists it. But neither
NetworkManager nor wicd can get the card to work (in DHCP). It some
times work fine. But other times it is as if the card doesnt exist at
all.

$ dmesg | grep eth
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready

This has been such a deeply frustrating problem for me, affecting my
productivity so much.. please help.
