This BIOS setting has the same effect under windows7 - the Intel card
disappears from the device manager.

So I guess this bug is a problem of the ASUS-provided BIOS .... 
Unless there is some way of improving the performance of startup and 
suspend/resume to accomodate this setting.

Maybe the discussion about ways of making the nvidia card work should happen 
somewhere else, like <a href="
