Binary package hint: thunderbird
Seemed to happen when package was upgraded yesterday. Running
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100608
Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1; on Ubuntu 9.10. Running thunderbird
under Gnome shows the "Starting ..." on the task bar. Then it goes away
with no process launched. Running thunderbird --safe-mode from terminal
window starts thunderbird (obviously with no add ons). Closing the safe
mode allows thunderbird to restart again without safe-mode, and all add
ons (the only one I have is lightning) to run. Then if I close
thunderbird again and try to restart it, it fails the same way.
Bottom line--if I run it in safe mode, it lets me relaunch it in normal
mode. Once. Then I have to repeat the safe mode again.
It had been running fine until the repository push yesterday.
