Have tested this small java programme and confirmed OpenOffice crash with both
Sun Java 6 JRE and OpenJDK6 JRE. As concerning copying/pasting from OO to
another java application: this still could be possible, with some restrictions
though. For example, with OO running JDownloader is still able to parse the
content of clipboard safely providing that its clipboard watch function has
been disabled. Of course all the sequence should be performed manually in this
case: select a content of interest in another application window - copy
selection to a clipboard - switch to JDownloader - select a place to paste
content to - use paste function.
Thus, the issue might be considered as a "feature" of OO, though
contra-intuitive and rather annoying one.
