I will not touch the severity of the bug, but I agree with Chris that
the problem is in OO. In the track he reported above in comment #23, it
is quite clear that OO told the session manager the user cancelled the
shutdown, so I think that the session manager should not re-ask the
question. breaking all application that works well. The severity should
be high on the OO bug, not on the session manager one.

On the other hand, there is another workaround not commented above: open
a terminal an do a "shutdown -h now". Worked on my old Digital Ultrix in
1989, still works ok :-)
