Hi everyone! My Thinkpad X40 (i915) was fixed by the driver in glasen's ppa (previously it locked up on boot with 2.6.32-22, although it worked fine with 2.6.31-20).
It all seems good except for playing a movie in totem, where I get some sort of driver crash. The system is still responsive to eg. ACPI events but the screen is totally blank.
