I am running the most recent Feisty Fawn (32 bit) and thunderbird mail
is still not getting indexed. The beagle package shows up in synaptic as
version 0.2.16.3. Thunderbird does not even show up in the list
generated by "beagle-index-info". It looks as if there would be no
Thunderbird backend at all.

Also, I have configured beagle to only index some non-home directory
/some/dir. However, it still tries to index .evolution in my home
directory but it does not try to index .thunderbird in the directory it
is configured to index, /some/dir.

In many situations it makes sense to keep the real user data away from
the actual home directory and only have symbolic links in the home
directory instead. Since beagle does not seem to index through symbolic
links, there should be a way to tell beagle where to find the
thunderbird/kmail/evolution mail directories, if it is not able to find
it in the specified non-home directories on its own.
