I have added a screen shot of Nvidia X Server Settings that displays current driver . I changed visual effects to none and the result was a failure to properly render AWN and Screenlets. When I returned the setting to normal the dock and Screenlets work as expected . This is an indication that the Nvidia driver is in use.
