I just tried the installer on my laptop and it failed when attempting to
upgrade apache2-common. Basically, it appears dpkg assumed the apache
service was running and died when it failed to stop (apache wasn't
running). The relevant main.log and apt.log are below. Later, adept
couldn't handle when dpkg required terminal input (eg to pick my version
or package version of a conf file).
