MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO- APIC is my big issue now. my toshiba satilite laptop will not stay on for more than a few seconds and i do not have a SATA hard drive installed because it took a dive a while back. so it is: 1. no HDD installed of any sort at the moment. friend did not believe me that it was broke and put into my laptop and punched a few keys and now it will not stay on for more than a few seconds which in turn will not allow me to make any sort of changes to anything. so i guess i am going to have to get a new hard drive and install it first before i can move in any direction with this laptop. i also need a flash drive to install anything to make the new os to begine with the micro sd card i have is not big enough and i cannot keep this toshiba to stay on long enough to get to the internet and do anything. i guess if you have a better solution please let me know thank you ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/603054 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug.
