Okay, back again. Hmm...could be that input_mux creates an input mux control, so I don't have to add it myself...strange that this did not show up in hda-emu though. Anyway, I uploaded a new version of linux-alsa-driver-modules to my ppa (version should be 2.6.32-24.201007110500+optiplex2), and assumed it builds correctly in a few hours, could you please try it, and if it doesn't, report back with "dmesg | grep -e hda -e ALSA -e HDA" ?
