I have the same problem on my machine (10.04 LTS, linux- image-2.6.32-23-server 2.6.32-23.37, 64Bit). My system is up-to-date. During the last system freeze, I discovered that no data was written to the nfs share for at least 15 minutes.
I tried to login at the console and got a lot of messages like this: INFO: task .... blocked for more than 120 seconds. "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message. I couldn't log in and had to hard reset my machine. After boot up, I found nothing in the system logs. -- Writing big files to NFS target causes system lock up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/561210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
