I went to http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g-download/ and grabbed the rc.tgz
I made a debian package with the result, modified the version so that it would not be "upgraded" and installed it. mount.ntfs barely makes a blip in System Monitor (ksysguard) on KDE. One could do a ./configure make sudo make install with the extracted tarball, but I like the packaging of a deb so it can be easily removed. I did have to remove the associated "lib" file that accompanies ntfs-3g on ubuntu. I didn't attach it because I am not completely familiar with the protocol here. -- Huge CPU usage by mount.ntfs process https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
