I see this also on ZaReason's new Terra HD laptops. I've sent them this bug.
>From upower -d after lid close and reopen (with successful suspend& resume >cycle; thanks!): lid-is-closed: yes This isn't upower's problem; it's the ACPI implementation (MSFT-compiled; huzzah for brokenness!): $ cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state state: closed So there we go. Za can probably get at this via a BIOS update like they fixed the suspend&resume problem. However, I doubt sony's gonna do it, so this should be fixed, wine-style (i.e. we're trying to build software that does ACPI like Windows). -- Laptop lid reports incorrectly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597963 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
